I know call me paranoid but I would check the front belt pulley to see if the lock nut is
slipping. Mine did a similar thing getting on the freeway at full throttle be for it finally
slipped and stripped off couple days later. I am also interested in knowing how fast you
got. I can get mine to top out about 90 mph with me on it. (I am about 270 pounds). I
would think that’s about the top end. But I wonder if I am hitting the rev limiter. With the
jardine pipe I installed, its about all the noise I can take anyway. But, always need more
speed. Maby nitro kit. HA HA HA. Rev limiter bad, but blowing engine worse.
